Thought that Apple was the only one at developing high end tablet PCs?
Then you might want to reconsider. Because an Indian company has come up with an answer.
A Hyderabad based firm Notion Ink is developing their tablet PC : Adam.
Though it was initially scheduled for launch in June 2010, it was delayed. But still they have announced that it will be released in the third quarter of this year.
Running the Android OS, Adam may be the first device to be marketed with the Pixel Qi Trans-reflective LCD Display which is a low power consuming display. It also has a normal LCD version.
With a 10.1 inch screen supporting a resolution of 1024x600, this device just weighs between 1.3 to 1.4 pounds (thats just 600 to 650 gms).
It holds within a 1 GHz ARM Cortex Dual core processor and an Nvidia Tegra 2 graphics processor which is capable of producing 1080p output.
It comes in 16 GB and 32 GB versions.
It also sports a 3.2 MegaPixel 180 degree swivel camera and an in-built microphone for video chatting.
The price of this baby is expected around $380 to $800. But the word is that they are working on a cheaper version.
